          Manjula Vijayakumar was a south Indian actress who concentrated most on Tamil movies. She was one among those lucky stars who got opportunity to work opposite MGR and Sivaji Ganesan as leading actress in the super hit movies of 70’s.

          6. She starred opposite MGR in the super hit movie ‘Rickshawkaaran’ which gave National award for best actor for M. G. Ramachandran. Apart from Tamil, she has also acted in other south Indian languages and during 90’s she concentrated most on supporting and negative roles in film industry.

          She was married to actor Vijayakumar and their daughters Sridevi Vijayakumar and Preetha are actresses of south India. She died on 23 July 2013 in SRMC at Chennai after falling down from bed and the whole industry still mourns over the unexpected death of this actress who was at her late 50’s.
